A 21-year-old Cheyenne man charged with receiving stolen guns has been bound over to Laramie County District Court.

Erick Orozco appeared before Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee this (Thursday) morning. He did not enter a plea.

According to sworn testimony by Cheyenne Police Department Detective Jim Harper, he and others searched Orozco's father's trailer on Jan. 12, after Jesus Gracia and Rodrigo Martinez told him they had given Orozco several guns that Martinez admittedly stole in numerous home burglaries.

"We found six guns," said Harper. "All of them came back to the burglaries."

Harper said Orozco told him, "He felt like he was being framed."

Orozco's attorney argued that his client didn't know the guns were stolen, but Lee disagreed, finding probable cause to bind the case over.

Lee did, however, agree to reduce Orozcos's $10,000 cash bond, which was posted on May 17, to 25 percent of $10,000.

Orozco could face up to ten years in prison if convicted.
